Meet the Staff – Monique

We think it is nice to know who you are speaking to on the phone and a little about the person who may turn up to maintain your building.  This month we get to know a little more about our Office Manager, Monique.

Hi Monique how long have you been with SPA?

I have worked for SPA for 5 Years.

What is your role, and what is a typical day for you?

My role is Office Manager. Making sure that all jobs are allocated to to contract managers, urgent client demands are responded to quickly, jobs are invoiced, monies collected and keeping all the boys in check, especially Mark! I do everything!

How are you hoping to develop your role and skills moving forward?

SPA like us to continually develop our skills so will shortly be starting an accountancy course so as I can take on that role as we grow.

I am going to learn as much as I can from Mark and aim, in five years, to be a Director of SPA.

Tell us about your interests outside of work.

I enjoy walking miles with my dog in beautiful places like Richmond Park.

I love living in London, and regularly watch a musical and wander around Covent Garden, Leicester Square or along the Southbank at the weekends.

Family is important to me and I am fortunate that my Grandad is still alive at the age of 97 and we all enjoy listening to his stories about when he was a gunner in the Navy.

I lived in Spain for ten years, I go to Spanish lessons to keep up my Spanish.

I think I might also try learning Chinese next so that I don’t get dementia in my old age!

Gracias Monique, and good luck with the Chinese!

Are you ready for Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards ( MEES) legislation ? We can help.

As you are aware From 1 April 2018, landlords of buildings within the scope of the MEES Regulations must not renew existing tenancies or grant new tenancies if the building has less than the minimum energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of E unless the landlord registers an exemption.
