Fire Stopping

Fire Stopping

We are often asked by our clients to help them with improvements requested following a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA). A number of required actions are often in relation to the compliance of Fire Stopping

In order to ensure competency as required by the regulations, SPA send their staff on BRE Academy Fire Stopping and Compartmentation course to ensure that we are fully conversant with:

– The definition of fire stopping and compartmentation.

– Building Regulations and Regulatory Reform Order.

– Fire stopping product selection criterion.

– Fire stopping products and systems. Generic types.

– Key points of inspection.

This helps us to work with our clients to ensure that the maintenance programme following an FRA ensures:

– The integrity of a building’s fire stopping.

– Compliance with building regulations.

If you would like to discuss the results of your FRA please do give us a call and we’d be happy to help.
