Meet the Staff – Mark

We think it is nice to know who you are speaking to on the phone and a little about the person who may turn up to maintain your building.  This month we get to know a little more about our Director, Mark Humphreys-Evans.

Hi Mark how long have you been with SPA?

Since March last year when our investment advisory company (Avalon advises commercial Far Eastern companies and individuals on their inward investments into London) bought SPA.

How do you see your role and what has been your focus?

To ensure that our clients are receiving an efficient and reliable service, that everyone in SPA is working in a safe and enjoyable environment and to grow the business in a considered and sustainable manner.
We’ve really focused on putting procedures and processes in place, helped by investment in technology, that allow us to give clients a continually improving service and employees the support they need to deliver that service.

How do you spend a typical day.

First thing I will often liaise with Jonathan, my business parter who is focusing on the investment work, over any developments overnight in the Far East; or have a Skype conference with our digital/marketing consultant. Two or three times a week I will meet clients or potential clients for lunch or coffee centrally.  It is always good to discuss with clients and understand what we are doing well or not so well.  I will get to the office most days in the afternoon and meet people regarding finance, health and safety, specific jobs or staffing requirements.

Generally just disturbing people and interfering really!

Tell us about your interests outside of work.

I have always spent a lot of time in Richmond Park with my dogs or generally staying active. Will often wander down to watch my old club London Welsh play rugby at Old Deer Park.

Thanks for your time Mark!
