At SPA we work with some interesting people and we’d like to use this newsletter to introduce you to some of them. We start this month with Jeremy Titchen the former development Director of Grosvenor Ltd.

Hi Jeremy, so you were formally development director at Grosvenor which is obviously a high profile role – what are you doing now?

I founded Alpha Real Estate advisors, which is a vehicle for me to act as a consultant to my clients. I’m currently advising The Royal Brompton ( NHS Foundation Trust ) on their property plans, which as you probably know will have a big impact on the area. Also, a Far eastern consortium in the process of developing circa 1,000,000 sq ft of commercial space in the city – as well as some high net worth individuals.

That’s quite a challenge having to manage varying client requirements and deadlines and a big change from your role at Grosvenor – how do you balance your various commitments?

Well I do have to predict my work flows carefully and understand when individual clients are going to call upon my time and also have to prioritise on a daily basis and remain flexible.

So practically how is your time spent day to day?

I split my time between my home office (photo below) and the office in Wimpole Street as well as site and client meetings. I’m enjoying the flexibility that Alpha offers me to balance work with family life. I invested early on in a light and powerful laptop which means I now effectively carry my office everywhere I go and am operational wherever I am.

Tell us a little about what you do outside of work.

Obviously family is a focus and in addition enjoy cycling – I commute on my Brompton every day and enjoy walking our dog Scout, a cocker spaniel.

Thanks for your time Jeremy and good luck with Alpha!
